Bradley School's Student Council is in its 14th year during the 2017-2018 school year. Each October, three students are selected from each 4th and 5th class to be their class representatives for the school year. Mrs. Detoro (4B) and Mrs. Klabonski (5C) are the teacher advisors for this activity. We hold monthly meetings at lunch/recess time during which we plan and work on school and community service projects. All members of the Student Council are welcome to share their ideas for future projects at the meetings. It has become tradition that each November the Student Council holds a canned foods collection and each December we sponsor a Toys for Tots drive. In the past, we have also made Valentines for Veterans, created placemats for Meals on Wheels, and made holiday crafts for local nursing home residents. We also coordinate theme days such as Jersey Days and Hat Days for events such as the Super Bowl and March Madness. On those theme days, we ask that participating students donate one dollar and we select a charity, such as Ronald McDonald House, and donate all of the money we collect from our generous school community. We also enjoy doing activities within our school such as decorating the hallways and planting flowers outside the front entrance. We are always open to new ideas!
